Make it simple: reservation software for hotels and vacation rentals
If you are running any rental business, for example in the hospitality field, adequate reservation software is indispensable. Your success depends on it. Your staff will work every day with it, probably 24/7.

Smart access
The system must show essential information immediately, the non-essential one later. They have achieved that goal perfectly. You don't even to click in the calendar to see the guest name in a particular room. And if you click you will see additional reservation details and the Edit and Delete buttons.

Easy means simple and simple means intuitive. And this is what you experience in the system. Hotels where the staff changes frequently cannot afford training for complicated systems, especially the systems providing redundant features at a high price.

Actually, you don't install Simple Reservations at all. The cloud architecture allows to access the system via web from any location.

Reminders
Obviously a part of any hospitality business. You want to see immediately, that the guest has asked for a taxi on his departure day. Well done.
Waiting list
You can put the reservation request on the waiting list if there are no rooms available at the moment. After that you may assign any room as soon as changes or cancellations appear
API
Possibly the strongest part of Simple Reservations is its ability to adapt to individual requirements of each particular environment. The adaptations, however, are not included in the one cent per room and day price. API is just one of possible examples. If you want to display the reservation status on your website, the API is the way to go.
Quite a different approach would be to embed the complete (but anonymised) reservations calendar per IFRAME. You can see a live example of such embedded calendar here
